HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Sophomore
Larry Joseph blocked a shot with four seconds to play which sealed a 78-76 win for the Centenary University men's basketball team over SUNY-Delhi on Monday night in J.E. Reeves Student Recreation Center.
Freshman
Divine Anderson scored a game-high 20 points to lead a group of four Centenary players in double figures. That group helped the Cyclones record their first win of the season.

Billy Veras and Anderson allowed the Cyclones to open up an 11-8 lead with 15:16 to go in the first half.
A traditional three-point play from Joseph at 12:36 gave Centenary a 17-13 advantage.
SUNY-Delhi responded with an 11-5 run and took a 24-22 edge with 9:53 remaining in the half.
William Knight dropped in seven points for the Broncos during that stretch.
Centenary scored 10 of the next 11 points and pushed its lead back to seven, 32-25 with 6:26 showing on the clock. Anderson had four points in that run while sophomore
Chris LaBelle dropped in a three-pointer.
The Broncos battled back and tied the game at 32-32 on a foul shot from
Payton Dean at 4:23.
The Cyclones close the first half on a 12-7 run and took a 44-39 lead at the half. LaBelle contributed five during that stretch while Anderson had a traditional three-point play.
A triple from Veras gave Centenary a 47-41 lead with 16:30 to play in the second half.
SUNY-Delhi used an 11-1 run to take a 52-48 lead with 11:12 showing on the clock.
Justin Daoud had four points during that stretch.
The two teams traded baskets over the next several minutes as Jordan Fragale's lay-up at 5:59 gave the visitors a 65-57 advantage.
Centenary scored 11 of the next 14 points and tied the game at 68-68 with 3:27 to go in the contest. Joseph and fellow sophomore
Emmanuel Doh each had four points during that run.
A 6-3 run gave SUNY-Delhi a 74-71 lead with 2:06 left in the period.
LaBelle scored five of the next seven points in the game and tied the contest at 76-76 with 1:23 showing on the clock.
After a pair of missed shots by the Broncos, Doh hit a lay-up which put the home team on time 78-76 with just 26 seconds to go in the game.
Fragale missed a layup with 16 seconds left but the Broncos kept the ball. SUNY-Delhi once again put the ball in Fragale's hands but Joseph came up with a huge block and the rebound went to Centenary. That proved to be key in securing the two-point win for the Cyclones.
Centenary shot 43.1 percent from the field in the game and hit 10 three-pointers. SUNY-Delhi posted a field goal percentage of 40.0 in the game and knocked down six triples. The Broncos held a 48-43 edge in the rebounding battle.
Anderson posted his second straight 20 point game for the Cyclones and added five assists, four rebounds and two blocks. LaBelle contributed 18 points, five assists and three boards while Doh had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Veras posted 11 points while junior
Pablo Vasquez had a season-high 10 rebounds off the bench.
Fragale led SUNY-Delhi with 18 points and 12 assists while Dean added 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Dec. 8 when they travel to Lancaster Bible College for a 3 p.m. game.
