LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore
Chris LaBelle scored 10 of his team-high 17 points in the second half to lead a comeback attempt but it was not enough as the Centenary University men's basketball team fell at Lancaster Bible College, 69-63 on Saturday afternoon.

The Cyclones found themselves in an early 6-0 hole before sophomore
Emmanuel Doh got them on the board with a jumper at 18:13.

A lay-up from
Jordan Shewbridge gave Lancaster Bible a 21-9 advantage with 14:45 to go in the period.

The two teams traded baskets as the Chargers took a 38-22 lead with 5:41 showing on the clock.

Centenary closed the first half on a 6-2 run but the Chargers took a 40-28 lead at the half. Sophomore
Larry Joseph had three points during that scoring run by the Cyclones.

Centenary opened the second half on a 6-0 run and cut the Lancaster Bible lead to six, 40-34 with 18:47 to go in the game. Freshman
Divine Anderson had four points for the Cyclones during that stretch.

The two teams continued to trade baskets on both ends of the floor as
Quentin Davis' lay-up at 13:14 gave the home team a 49-38 lead.

Lancaster Bible went 5-for-5 from the foul line in a 33 second stretch and pushed its lead to 54-39 with 11:04 to go in the game.

An 11-2 run pulled the Cyclones to within six, 56-50 with 6:17 showing on the clock. Joseph had five points during that stretch while LaBelle and sophomore
Michael Young each connected on a three-pointer.

The two teams went back-and-forth as Anderson's jumper made it a 60-55 game with four minutes to go.

Lancaster Bible used a 6-0 run to push its lead back to 11, 66-55 with 2:21 left on the clock.

Centenary closed the game on an 8-3 run but it was not enough to overcome the deficit as Lancaster Bible claimed the 69-63 win.

Lancaster Bible shot 45.6 percent from the field in the game and was 10-for-16 from the foul line. Centenary posted a 35.6 field goal percentage for the contest and was 15-for-26 from the charity stripe. Lancaster Bible held a 43-28 advantage in the rebounding battle.

LaBelle added six steals, four rebounds and three assists to go along with his 17 points. Anderson tossed in 14 points with three assists while Doh had 12 points and eight rebounds. Joseph had a double-double for the Cyclones with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Davis led Lancaster Bible with a game-high 18 points and 14 rebounds.

It's a quick turnaround for the Cyclones as they are back on the court on Monday, Dec. 10 to host Rutgers-Newark at 7 p.m.
