DOVER, Del. – Junior
Katie Alvarez posted her fourth double-digit dig performance of the season to lead the Centenary University volleyball team at Wesley College on Thursday night.
Playing their second match in 24 hours, the Cyclones fell to the Wolverines by set scores of 25-7, 25-13 and 25-7.
Junior
Nicauris Veras had a kill and a block assist for the Cyclones in the first set. Alvarez had a kill and a service ace to lead Centenary in the second set. Alvarez had two kills and a block in the third set while sophomore
Leandra Garcia added a kill and a block assist.
Alvarez finished with 11 digs, three kills and a service ace to lead the Cyclones while Garcia had four kills and a block. Senior
Melissa Krueger finished with eight assists and five digs.
Nya Lightfoot led Wesley with nine kills while
Lindsay Burg had 15 assists.
The Cyclones will be back in action when they host Bryn Athyn on Saturday, Oct. 6. First serve gets underway at 10 a.m. and kicks off Alumni/Family Weekend for the Cyclones.
