Wrestling Drops First Match of the Season to No. 4 Ithaca


HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Jan. 27, 2017) – Sophomore Alec Donovan (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial)  and freshman Dylan Luciano (Long Valley, N.J. / West Morris Central) both recorded victories as the No. 19 Centenary University wrestling team dropped its first match of the season to No. 4 Ithaca College, 33-9 on Friday evening.  The Bombers improve to 6-2, while the Cyclones fall to 4-1.

Match Results

Luciano put the Cyclones on the board with a 17-5 major decision over Tito Colom at 133, while Donovan posted a technical fall over Demetri D`Orsaneo at 157.

Sophomore Christopher Muce (Monroe Township, N.J. / Monroe Township) dropped a hard fought match to Sam Schneider at 149 by decision, 9-6.

Head Coach John Garriques and the Cyclones will return to the mat tomorrow, Jan. 28th in Ewing, N.J. at the Metro/NEWA Duals hosted by the College of New Jersey, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
