NEW YORK, N.Y. (Jan. 25, 2016)- Three starters scored in double-figures, led by senior
Ally Fugnitti (Wood-Ridge, N.J. / Wood-Ridge) with 15 points, six steals, six assists and five rebounds, as the Centenary College women's basketball team came away with a 68-49 non-conference victory over the Bloodhounds of John Jay College.
Junior
Kelsey Barofski (White Township, N.J. / Belvidere) finished with a season-high 13 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Cyclones who improve to 10-7 overall. Karen Rosario finished with 21 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks for the Bloodhounds who fall to 4-13.
The game proved to be a tale of two halves for the Bloodhounds, as they posted a .444 three point percentage to keep the game close for a while. Centenary closed the first half on a mini 6-0 run that was capped off by a triple from sophomore
Julia Presant (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill East) to give the Cyclones a 35-28 advantage at intermission.
In the second half, Fugnitti and Barofski filled up the stat sheet to stretch Centenary's their lead to as large as 20. Fugnitti produced one of the best halves of basketball this season with a nine point, five steal, four assist and three rebound effort. Barofski added seven points and four rebounds to help the Cyclones effort.
Sophomore
Rachel Edwards (Phillipsburg, NJ / Phillipsburg) finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and five steals, while fellow classmate
Nicole Cartaino (Midland Park, N.J. / Midland Park) led all bench scorers with 11 points and five rebounds. Terri Chu connected on four three pointers and finished with 12 points for John Jay.

Andrea Kendall and the Cyclones will return to action in Allentown, Pa. on Wednesday, Jan. 27 against the Falcons of Cedar Crest College at 7:00 p.m.
