Centenary University Athletics Hall of Fame
A three-year member of the women’s soccer team, Jennifer Hughes was selected as a National Small College Athletic Association All-American during her freshman and sophomore seasons, becoming the first two-time All-American in Centenary history. She led the team in total points and goals both years, as well as during her junior campaign.
Hughes ranks second in school history with 50 career goals and 113 points and 10th with 13 assists. Her 18 goals and seven assists during the 2000 season both stand as the fourth-highest, single-season totals in the Cyclones’ record book.
The two-time Women’s Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Star was a tri-captain on the 2000 squad that won 10 matches and earned a berth to the ECAC Championship Tournament, the team’s first-ever postseason appearance.
Hughes earned her bachelor’s degree from Centenary in 2003.
