Long Valley, NJ -- The Centenary University equestrian team had a 7-3 victory against #1 ranked Dartmouth University in the single discipline on Sunday, March 8th at the Centenary University Equestrian Center.
The Cyclones (7-3) dominated the fences portion of the meet scoring four- of -five points, and three-of-five points in the Flat.
Aislinn Bermingham was a standout performer for Centenary today, earning MOP awards for both classes and scoring an 88 over the fences and an 89 in the flat.
In the Fences,
Aislinn Bermingham had the top score of 88. Both
Eva Froio and
Elizabeth Furtkevic rode to a scores of 84, while
Kayley Besbris and
Sutton Suelthaus were close behind each scoring 81. All solid performances over the fences for the Cyclones.
In the Flat,
Aislinn Bermingham was the top performer for the Cyclones scoring an 89 to secure a team point.
Sophie Kassel rode to a score of 86 and beat her opponent by four for a team point.
Eva Froio won her point with a score of 84 and
Kayley Besbris and
Elizabeth Furtkevic produced nice performances with scores of 80 and 73, respectively.
Next up for the cyclones are back-to-back meets on Friday, March 13th against Sacred Heart University and College of Charleston. After that they are on to the ECAC Tournament Championship at College of Charleston March 19th-21st. Go cyclones.
