Hackettstown, N.J.:The Centenary University men's basketball team pulled out a dramatic 65–63 Atlantic East Conference home victory over Pratt Institute on Tuesday night as Kenneth Rankin connected on the game-winning basket with 2.7 seconds remaining at the John M. Reeves Gym.

Centenary led for much of the contest and carried momentum into the closing minutes, but Pratt rallied late to tie the game and set up the final possession. With time winding down, the Cyclones put the ball in Rankin's hands, and the junior delivered, knocking down the decisive shot to secure the conference win.

Rankin finished with 22 points, leading all scorers and pacing the Cyclones offensively throughout the night. Jasir Lane turned in a dominant performance on the boards with 11 points and 18 rebounds, while Justin Carbone added 11 points. Devin Strickland and Naire Preston each chipped in 10 points, giving Centenary a balanced scoring attack.

Centenary shot efficiently from the field and controlled the paint, using strong rebounding and transition scoring to stay in front. The Cyclones remained composed in the final moments and executed when it mattered most, capped by Rankin's clutch game-winner.

With the victory, Centenary builds momentum in Atlantic East play and continues its push through the conference schedule.
