Mahwah, NJ: The Centenary University Volleyball team fell on the road Tuesday night, dropping a 3-0 decision to Ramapo College (18-25,18-25,22-25).
The Cyclones battled through three tight sets, showing resilience against a strong NJAC team. The Clones stayed within striking distance each frame, forcing a combined 19 ties across the match.
Offensively,
Poppy Skjonnemand led the way with 14 kills while adding 10 digs. Jenny Thistlethwaite chipped in 7 kills, 4 digs, and team high 3 aces.
Rey Bennett had 9 digs while
Vanessa Pagano dished out 10 assists.
Alea Herman also added 7 assists.
Centenary's serving was bright with 8 total aces including 4 in the third set. Defensively the team tallied 31 digs led by Skjonnemand, Thistlethwaite, and Bennett.
The Clones look to bounce back when they take on Rosemont in a non-conference match on Thursday.
