Doylestown, PA: The Centenary University men's basketball team fell on the road Saturday afternoon, dropping a non-conference matchup at Delaware Valley University, 108–80. The Cyclones competed throughout but were unable to slow an Aggies offense that shot efficiently from the field and from beyond the arc.
Centenary stayed within striking distance early, trading baskets in an up-tempo first half. Devin Strickland led the Cyclones offensively, finishing with a team-high 17 points on efficient shooting, while Justin Carbone added 14 points and Kenneth Rankin chipped in 11. The Cyclones shared the ball well and found scoring from multiple spots on the floor.
Delaware Valley pulled away by capitalizing on hot shooting and transition opportunities, building momentum as the game progressed. Despite the deficit, Centenary continued to battle, showing resilience and energy on both ends while gaining valuable experience against a strong offensive opponent.
The Cyclones will look to regroup and carry lessons from the contest into upcoming games as they continue the 2025–26 season.
