Cyclones Go 2-0 in Tri-Match Behind Dominant Performances from Skjonnemand and Thistlethwaite

The Centenary University women's volleyball team delivered a statement performance on Saturday, going 2-0 in their home tri-match with impressive wins over Delaware Valley University and CCNY. The Cyclones swept DelVal 3-0 in the opening match before closing out the day with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over CCNY.

Junior standout Poppy Skjonnemand was unstoppable at the net, powering the Cyclones' offense with 34 kills across the two matches. Her aggressive play and consistency on both sides of the ball set the tone for Centenary's dominant day.

Fellow junior captain Jennifer Thistlethwaite continued to shine as well, contributing 26 kills of her own while providing strong leadership and energy throughout both matches.

Running the offense with precision, Vanessa Pagano was a steady force as the Cyclones' setter, racking up 51 assists over the two matches. Her ball distribution and court vision helped keep Centenary's attack balanced and unpredictable.

With the two wins, the Cyclones showcased their growing chemistry and competitive edge as they continue to build momentum deep into the conference schedule. Centenary will look to carry this success forward as they push for a strong finish to the regular season.
