Hackettstown, NJ: The Cyclones men's basketball team secured a decisive 85-59 victory over the Cannoneers of Pratt Institute. This win brought the Cyclones' season record to 7-7, including a 1-0 start in the Atlantic East Conference, while the Cannoneers fell to 0-12 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

The first half concluded with both teams deadlocked at 31 points. However, the Cyclones once again made the necessary adjustments and dominated the second half, outscoring Pratt 54-28 to clinch the win. Centenary's offense was led by their ability to knock down the three point shot, making a total of eleven of their attempts. The Clones would also dominate the paint, recording a total of thirty eight points down low, and coming down with a total of forty rebounds. Scoring in transition came with ease, as the Clones concluded the game with a total of thirty-one points off of the fast break. The Clones defenders applied a ton of pressure throughout the contest, forcing the Cannoneers to commit a total of twenty-seven turnovers on eighteen steals which ultimately led to thirty-one points off turnovers. This victory marks a strong start to conference play for Centenary, as they welcome Marymount University this upcoming Saturday.
Game Standouts
Naire Preston stole the show, scoring twenty points in the first conference game of the season. Preston knocked down four of his eight attempts from behind the arc. The second year guard would also go on to record two assists, and three steals.
Justin Carbone recorded the second most points in the game, with a total of thirteen. Carbone would also come down with four rebounds.
Brandon Yale had a dominant performance on both ends of the floor. While scoring twelve points and three assists on the offensive end, Yale posted four steals, one block, and came down with five rebounds in the game.
Devin Strickland once again found success on the offensive end for the Clones, recording a total of ten points and two assists. Strickland would also post a rebound and one steal to his stat line.
