Words From Coach John Garriques
Alvernia: "Im proud of these young men, their being battled tested, and showing that they have what it takes to compete with the best teams in the country. That's the first step, showing them that they have the talent, and building that confidence. It's tough going into a National tournament wrestling some of the best teams in the country with 7 out of 10 weight classes, but if any team can do it, its this team. They are building great chemistry, and they are finally seeing that their hard work is paying off."
Central: "We're battling hard, and are in almost every match. We're slowly picking up on the little things, like keeping pressure, and being stingy with not giving up points. The bottom line is we came into this event with several men down, we knew it was going to be tough, and tough is what we wanted. This is how you get better, you must wrestle the best to be the best. Each close match gets us closer to where we want to be come years end."
