Baseball Splits To Take Series Against Neumann

Aston, PA: The Cyclones split on the day to take the series against the Neumann Knights. The Clones won game one 5-4 and lost game two 14-11. The Cyclones record improves to 10-14 and 3-5 in conference play.

Game One

Starting on the mound in Game One would be Junior Zach Gehman. Gehman would toss 4.1 innings giving up seven hits and four runs (three earned) while striking out five. Coming in relief would be Sophomore pitcher Anthony Fraser as he would pick up his third win on the season. Fraser would pitch two innings giving up only one hit. Getting the Save would be Sophomore pitcher Louie Vassallo. Offensively, the Clones would score five runs on eight hits with three runs being batted in. 
Game Two

Getting the start in Game Two would be Junior Jake Keenan. Keenan would go on to toss three innings giving up seven runs on eight hits. Louie Vassallo, Drew Oppenheim, Sam Castillo, and Jackson Ponzo would all make appearances in the game. Despite the loss, the Clones bats were on fire as they would score eleven runs (all runs batted in) on eighteen hits.

The Clones will look to bounce back as they travel to Langhorne PA, to take on the Cairn Highlanders on Monday.
