Hackettstown, NJ: Brooke Armida was named Centenary University's ninth head volleyball coach. The Cyclones are excited to welcome Coach Armida to the staff.
With over 14 years of coaching experience and a profound passion for volleyball, Coach Brooke brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to player development. Coach Brooke's commitment to excellence extends beyond the volleyball court, enriching the lives of athletes both on and off the court. Originally from Pine Bush, New York, Coach Brooke has honed her coaching skills through various roles, including Head Coach of multiple teams at New York Elite Volleyball Club and Wallkill High School, where she was Head Coach at the JV and Assistant Coach at the Varsity levels, demonstrating her versatility and adaptability as a coach.
Furthermore, Coach Brooke will contribute to the development of young talent by serving as the head coach for Maccabi Sports Camp in California this summer, where she will lead players through comprehensive training programs and help them reach their full potential. Coach Brooke is eager to impart not only volleyball basics and advanced skills but also crucial life lessons. As a coach, she emphasizes the A.C.E principles: Attitude, Communication, and Effort. She believes that by instilling these values in her players, they will not only excel on the court but also in all aspects of their lives. Coach Brooke is committed to fostering an environment where players give their all, communicate effectively, and approach challenges with a positive mindset. She looks forward to witnessing her athletes grow not only as volleyball players but also as individuals who embody these principles both on and off the court. Coach Brooke, married to Dan Armida, a Mental Performance Coach, recognizes the significance of integrating mental performance strategies to propel athletes towards success. As a proud parent, she celebrates the achievements of her two children: Kaylee, who is set to graduate from Eastern Connecticut University this spring, where she excelled as a softball player, and Emily, a freshman at Albertus Magnus College in Connecticut, showcasing her volleyball prowess on their team. Aside from her role at Centenary University, Coach Brooke has showcased her dedication to developing volleyball talent by running several camps, clinics, and Volley Kids programs. She has shared her expertise with players of all ages and skill levels, fostering a love for the sport and nurturing the growth of aspiring athletes.
