Hackettstown, NJ: Baseball hosted the Cabrini University Cavaliers. On the day, the Cyclones split the double header as the win game one by a score of 8-5, and would drop game two by a score of 17-6.
Game One
The Cyclones would crawl back from a 5-2 deficit going into the bottom of the fifth inning, and would chip away at the score before running away with the lead. Two Cyclones that would provide the team with big hits late in the game would be Paul Links and Christopher Gass. Links would single down the right field line allowing Chase Johnson to score. Gass would follow up two at-bats later by finding the gap in right center and legging out a bases clearing triple for the Cyclones to take the lead.
First-year player, Carter Sari picked up the first win of his career as a Cyclone. Sari stepped in during the top of the fifth inning and would toss 2.1 innings, allowing zero runs to cross and striking out three batters.
Game Two
The Cyclones offense would bat 12-for-36 (.333 BA) with Marty Lucibello (2), Jake Keenan (1), and James Howlett (1) each contributing extra base-hits. Brandon Smith and Paul Links each provided the team with a pair of runs batted in.
Matt Oehrlein would start the game on the mound and tossed five innings allowing just two runs and striking out one batter. As a staff, the Cyclones had a total of five scoreless innings, but fell victim to the long ball on several occasions throughout the course of the game.
