HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. –
Alyssa Bizzarro had 13 kills to lead the Centenary University volleyball team in its season opener against Ramapo on Thursday night.
The two teams battled back and forth all night as the third set went to extra points before Ramapo claimed the 3-0 victory.
Ramapo hit .281, including .406 in the second set en route to the victory.
Bizzarro added eight digs to go along with her 13 kills while
Kim Stallworth dished out 14 assists for the Cyclones.
Martina Josifoska had nine digs for Centenary.
Caleigh Golabek led Ramapo with 12 kills while
Katie Bishop dished out 15 assists.
Centenary has a quick turnaround as it heads to Penn State Abington for a tri-match with Valley Forge on Saturday, Sept. 3. The Cyclones' first match on Saturday is set for 11 a.m.
