HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Seventy-two Centenary University student-athletes were named to the Atlantic East Conference All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for the Atlantic East All-Academic team, student-athletes had to have recorded a GPA of 3.20 or better for the fall and spring semesters, earned a varsity letter in their sport, used a year of eligibility, and met any other NCAA criteria for eligibility in their respective sport.
"So much emotion was demonstrated this season and to see this group succeed in the classroom, is an example of their dedication and commitment to being a student-athlete," said
Travis Spencer, Director of Athletics. "I am very proud of these individuals and achieving this honor. To have nearly 50% of our eligible population being named to this list, is a testament to what we are trying to achieve here."
The 72 Cyclones on the list come from the 10 teams that competed in the Atlantic East this past school year. The Centenary baseball team had 21 representatives on the team while men's soccer had 13 representatives. On the women's side, softball had 12 players on the team while women's soccer had seven.
