HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Centenary University Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Kristin Bell as the new head coach of the Cyclones women's lacrosse program.
A Centenary alum and former standout member of the women's lacrosse program, Bell returns to Hackettstown with a strong connection to the University and a passion for growing the game of lacrosse.
"Coming back to Centenary as a coach is incredibly meaningful to me," said Bell. "I'm excited to give back to the program that helped shape who I am and create an environment where our student-athletes feel supported, challenged, confident, and proud to be Cyclones."
Lacrosse has been a major part of Bell's life from an early age. She played four years at Warren Hills Regional High School before continuing her career at Centenary University. During her five seasons as a Cyclone, Bell served as a team captain for multiple seasons and was recognized with the Presidential MVP Award.
Since graduating from Centenary, Bell has remained heavily involved in the sport, spending the past four years coaching youth lacrosse and working to create new opportunities for young athletes within the community.
Her efforts have extended beyond coaching on the field. Bell has worked to introduce younger players to the sport by bringing them to collegiate and professional lacrosse games, building relationships with coaches and organizations, and helping provide equipment to athletes who may not otherwise have access to it.
Her commitment to growing the game and developing young athletes will now come full circle as she returns to the program where she spent her collegiate career.
Outside of lacrosse, Bell works with businesses through CoAd, supporting clients with human resources, benefits, workers' compensation, payroll and administrative needs. She is also an avid runner who regularly challenges herself through distance races.
As she begins the next chapter of her Centenary career, Bell will look to use her experiences as a former Cyclone, team captain and youth coach to build a positive culture within the women's lacrosse program while helping student-athletes develop both on and off the field.
