Garabed Selected to NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Centenary University Sports Information Director Elizabeth Garabed has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program, taking place December 6–8 at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Garabed, who was nominated for the program by Centenary University Director of Athletics Dan Armida, is one of just 30 athletic communicators from across NCAA Division III selected to participate in this year's program.

The Emerging Elite Program is a professional development initiative developed in partnership with the Division III Sports Information Directors Association (D3SIDA) and College Sports Communicators (CSC) to support the next generation of athletics communication leaders across Division III.

Garabed currently serves as the Sports Information Director at Centenary University, overseeing athletic communications efforts for the Cyclones' varsity athletic programs. Her responsibilities include managing the athletics website, coordinating game-day media operations, producing written and digital content, maintaining statistics and records, and promoting the accomplishments of Centenary's student-athletes and coaches.

Prior to being named Sports Information Director in August 2026, Garabed served as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Centenary, gaining valuable experience in athletic communications, social media management, and event operations.

"I am incredibly honored to have been nominated by Dan Armida and selected for the NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program," said Garabed. "I am grateful for the support and opportunities I have received at Centenary University that have allowed me to grow professionally. I look forward to learning from experienced professionals, connecting with fellow athletic communicators, and bringing new ideas and perspectives back to Centenary."

The three-day program will bring together 30 selected participants at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, where they will engage in professional development sessions, collaborate with peers, and gain valuable insight into the collegiate athletic communications profession.

Garabed's selection recognizes her dedication to athletic communications and continued professional growth while providing an opportunity to represent Centenary University on the national stage.
