Volleyball Closes Out Regular Season With Tri-Match

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Centenary University volleyball team closed out the regular season with a pair of tough losses to FDU Florham and The King's College (N.Y.) on Saturday afternoon.

Prior to the start of the first match, the Cyclones honored senior Allison Dombrowski for her contributions to the program.

FDU Florham Recap (Devils Won 3-0):
FDU Florham hit .270 en route to a 3-0 win over the Cyclones in the first match of the Day. The Devils took the contest by set scores of 25-19, 25-12 and 25-19.

Mya Burnett led the Cyclones with seven kills in the match while Alyssa Bizzarro added three kills and 13 digs. Kim Stallworth dished out seven assists while Martina Josifoska contributed 15 digs.

Vanessa Freeman had 10 kills and 13 digs for the Devils.

King's Recap (Lions Won 3-1):
Centenary jumped out to an early lead in its second match of the day but could not hold on as King's battled back for the 3-1 win.

The Lions lost the first set, 25-18 but then bounced back with set wins of 25-19, 25-19 and 28-26.

Bizzarro paced the Cyclones with 18 kills and 19 digs while Burnett added 14 kills. Vanessa Pagano had 19 assists while Josifoska had a team-high 21 digs.

Bella Rush had 17 kills and 16 digs for King's.

Centenary is back in action when it competes in the first round of the Atlantic East Tournament. The No. 6 Cyclones visit No. 3 Neumann on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
