HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Continued improvement on the cross country course led to Centenary junior Matt Perine and sophomore Carolyn Rosenberg being named the Cyclones of the Week.

Perine has shown improvement on the cross country course all season long. That effort was capped by his performance at the Highlander Invitational hosted by NJIT this past weekend.

Perine ran a 35:54 on the 8k course. His time was a 6:20 improvement over last year, and a lifetime PR by over three minutes.

Rosenberg battled through a talented field of runners that included racers from Division I, II and III at the Highlander Invitational this past weekend.

The sophomore who continues to show improvement throughout the season while balancing softball workouts ran a 30:29 on the 5K course.

Both cross country teams are back in action on Friday, Oct. 14 when they take part in the Wilkes "Blue & Gold" Invitational.
