Bizzarro and Campbell Lead Volleyball Past Keystone, 3-1

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Sophomores Alyssa Bizzarro and Caelyn Campbell combined for 22 kills and 42 digs to lead the Centenary University volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Keystone College on Thursday evening.

Centenary took an early lead in the match with a 25-14 first set win. Keystone battled back and tied the match at 1-1 after a 28-26 second set win. Centenary used 25-22 and 25-19 wins in the third and fourth sets to take the match.

Centenary used seven service aces, including four from freshman Mya Burnett, to claim the first set victory. The Cyclones had a 16-6 advantage in the second set before Keystone battled back for the win.

Centenary trailed 9-4 in the third set but got six kills from Bizzarro to come from behind and take the third set. Keystone grabbed a 14-12 advantage in the fourth set but four kills from Bizzarro helped the Cyclones complete the win.

Bizzarro finished with 22 kills and 11 digs for her first double-double of the season for the Cyclones. Campbell contributed a match-high 31 digs while senior Amelia Rodriguez posted 31 assists and four service aces. Burnett finished with 11 kills, six service aces and nine digs.

Adrianna Derrick led Keystone with 14 kills and seven digs.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 2 as it travels to Rosemont for a 12 p.m. match.
