HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Sophomore Camryn Rothery had a team-high 10 digs in match one to lead the Centenary University volleyball team in its tri-match with Penn State Abington and Pratt on Saturday afternoon.
The Cyclones fell to the Nittany Lions and Cannoneers by 3-0 scores.
PSU Abington Recap: Penn State Abington hit .286 with 13 service aces en route to the win over the Cyclones.
The Nittany Lions took the match by set scores of 25-11, 25-14 and 25-17.
In addition to Rothery's 10 digs, the Cyclones got nine kills and two blocks from freshman Mya Burnett. Sophomore Alyssa Bizzarro had seven kills and eight digs while senior Amelia Rodriguez finished with 20 assists.
Jenny McAnaney led the Nittany Lions with 10 kills and 11 digs.
Pratt Recap: Pratt served up 16 aces and held off a late charge by the Cyclones in the third set for the 3-0 win.
The Cannoneers took the match by 25-10, 25-11, 25-21 scores.
For the second straight match, Bizzarro led the Cyclones with seven kills and eight digs while Rodriguez had 13 assists and six digs. Burnett contributed six kills and five digs.
Grace Kirschner led Pratt with eight kills and eight digs while Avery Toomes handed out 22 assists.
The Cyclones are back in action on Thursday, Sept. 30 when they host Keystone at 7 p.m.
