HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – After serving up 16 aces in two contests last week, Centenary University volleyball outside hitter Alyssa Bizzarro was named the Atlantic East Specialty Player of the Week.

Bizzarro also contributed 13 kills and nine digs while leading the Cyclones to a 1-1 mark last week.

Bizzarro started her week with five kills, one service ace and seven digs in a hard-fought loss at FDU Florham.

On Saturday versus Cheyney, Bizzarro turned in an impressive performance from the service line. She recorded 15 service aces in the contest and helped the Cyclones post 21 as a team in the match.
Bizzarro's 15 service aces are tied for third most in single-match history for a Cyclone and the most by a Cyclone since 2011. Her 15 aces are the most by an NCAA Division III player this season.

Bizzarro also added eight kills and two digs in the contest.

On the season, Bizzarro has contributed 35 service aces and is averaging 1.46 aces per set. She leads the Atlantic East in that category. Bizzarro has also posted 38 kills, 48 digs and four block assists on the year.

Bizzarro and the Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 25 when they host PSU Abington and Pratt in a tri-match starting at 11 a.m.
