Bizzarro Aces the Volleyball Team Past Cheyney

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Sophomore Alyssa Bizzarro had 15 service aces to lead the Centenary University volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Cheyney University on Saturday afternoon.

The Cyclones won the match by set scores of 25-6, 25-13 and 25-10 and snapped a three-game losing streak with the victory.

Centenary hit .356 in the match while holding Cheyney to a -.171 hitting percentage.

Bizzarro contributed eight kills and hit .353 to go along with her 15 service aces in the contest. Jessica Simpson had five kills and hit .714 while Caelyn Campbell dished out 15 assists. Martina Josifoska had a team-high six digs.

Adele Mosley and Jireh Kelly each had five digs for Cheyney.

The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 25 when they host Pratt and PSU Abington in a tri-match starting at 11 a.m.
