Simpson Leads Volleyball in Loss to Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. – Freshman Jessica Simpson hit .429 with seven kills to lead the Centenary University volleyball team in a tough 3-0 loss at Marywood University on Saturday morning.

The Pacers took the match by set scores of 25-23, 25-12 and 25-12.

Simpson added four digs while sophomore Alyssa Bizzarro contributed seven kills, a team-high 10 digs and five service aces. Senior Amelia Rodriguez had 18 assists while freshman Mya Burnett added five kills.

Sara Burgos had 24 assists for Marywood while Donna Bostjancic added 10 digs.

Centenary is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 13 when it hosts CCNY at 7 p.m.
