LANGHORNE, Pa. – Sophomore
Alyssa Bizzarro had nine kills and 11 digs to lead the Centenary University volleyball team in a 3-1 loss at Cairn University on Thursday evening.
Cairn jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first set and eventually claimed a 25-13 set win.
Allison Barnes had four kills and two service aces in the second set to help the Highlanders secure a 25-22 set victory as the home team took a 2-0 lead in the match.

Zaairah Lamothe helped the Cyclones to open up a 10-4 lead in the third set. Seven kills from freshman
Mya Burnett helped the visitors secure a 25-16 third set win and forced the match to a fourth set.
Cairn hit .304, its best hitting percentage of the match, in the fourth set and earned a 25-10 set win and victory in the match.
Bizzarro just missed a double-double in the contest with her nine kills and 11 digs. She also had a team-high six service aces in the contest. Burnett contributed nine kills and nine digs while senior
Amelia Rodriguez had 17 assists.
Barnes had nine kills and six service aces for Cairn while
Olivia Zepp added 30 assists and seven service aces.
The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 9 as they travel to Marywood for a match at 11 a.m.
