HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – After solid performances on the field and the course, Centenary University women's soccer midfielder
Eve Haddad and cross country's
Anthony Ferrara have been named the Cyclones of the Week.
Haddad proved to be a valuable contributor for the Cyclones last week. She scored the game's first goal in a 5-0 win over Rosemont. Haddad's tally, which proved to be the game-winner, helped head coach
Kevin Davies win his 200th game as a Cyclone. Haddad took three shots in the game and put two on goal.
She also had a pair of shots in the Saturday contest at Immaculata.
So far this season she has three goals and one assist for seven points.
Haddad and the Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 13 when they host Neumann at 3 p.m.
Ferrara turned in a strong performance on a difficult course and against a tough field at the DeSales Invitational.
The freshman ran a 39:12 on the 8k course to be the second Cyclone across the line. Ferrara has been a consistent runner for the Cyclones all season while balancing the rigors of men's lacrosse fall ball. The freshman went from the cross country course on Saturday to competing in scrimmages for lacrosse on Sunday.
Ferrara and the Cyclones return to action on Saturday, Oct. 30 when they participate in the Atlantic East Championship.
