Tracy, Vandermark, Kochbarski Lead Field Hockey at Neumann

ASTON, Pa. – Freshmen Isabella Tracy and Jordan Vandermark each scored their second goal of the season to lead the Centenary University field hockey team against Neumann University on Wednesday afternoon.

Neumann outscored the Cyclones 7-1 in the second half to claim the 9-3 victory.

For the second straight game it was Tracy giving Centenary an early advantage as she scored at 21:47.

Bri Lagroteria had a goal and an assist in a 2:42 stretch as Neumann took a 2-1 lead in the contest.

The Cyclones tied things up just 13 seconds before the half on Vandermark's goal.

Neumann had a 9-8 edge in shots in the first half while freshman Sydnie Bogan had four first half saves for the Cyclones.

Neumann used a 6-0 run that bridged the third and fourth quarters to take an 8-2 advantage in the game. Julia Lee had a pair of goals and an assist during that run for the Knights.

Senior Lauren Kochbarski broke up the Neumann run with her first career goal at 57:42 off a pass from Vandermark.

Neumann added one final goal for a 9-3 win.

Mary Miller started the game for Neumann in goal and made four saves in the first 30 minutes of action. Meg Frame did not make a save in the second half. In addition to Bogan's four first half saves, the Cyclones got two saves each from freshmen Emma Cahill and Jenyfer Pereira.

Neumann finished the game with a 21-11 advantage in shots and a 14-11 edge in penalty corners.

The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 7 when they travel to FDU-Florham for a 1 p.m. game.
