GALLOWAY, N.J. – Freshman
Chelsea Estacio had nine saves, but it was not enough as the Centenary University women's soccer team fell at Stockton University on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the half and eventually claimed the 5-0 victory.
Stockton scored twice in the 15th minute as the Ospreys' tallies were separated by just 35 seconds.
Sydney Williams and
Salena LeDonne scored to give the home team the 2-0 advantage.
Stockton maintained that 2-0 advantage into the half as Estacio made four first half stops for the Cyclones.
The Ospreys scored three times in the second stanza to close out the 5-0 victory. LeDonne struck for her second of the day to lead Stockton.
Senior
Stephanie Williams recorded a shot on goal in the second half for the Cyclones.
Jennifer Devault started the game in goal for Stockton and made one save to earn the win.
Olivia Harris played the final 27:52 and was not forced to make a save. Estacio had five saves in the second 45 minutes of the game and now has three games this season with nine saves or more.
LeDonne finished with two goals and one assist for Stockton.
The Cyclones are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 18 when they host King's (Pa.) at 3 p.m.
