Tiejten Leads Women's Lacrosse in Road Loss at Notre Dame (Md.)

BALTIMORE, Md. – Freshman Amanda Tietjen had four ground balls and three caused turnovers to lead the Centenary University women's lacrosse team in a loss at Notre Dame University (Md.) in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action Thursday afternoon.

The Gators opened up an 11-0 halftime advantage and earned an 18-0 victory.

Kirstin McGee scored four goals and assisted on two others in the first 30 minutes of play, which allowed the home team to open up the 11-0 lead at the break.

Freshman Madison Barofski had a pair of caused turnovers and three ground balls in the first half for the Cyclones while senior Renee Hack made six first half saves.

McGee scored three more goals and added another assist in the second half as Notre Dame (Md.) closed out the 18-0 win.

Tietjen had all four of her ground balls and the three caused turnovers in the second half for the Cyclones.

Marie Salas made five saves to earn the win in goal for the Gators. Calenna Cauley had one save in relief action for the home team. Hack finished with nine saves for the Cyclones.

McGee finished with 10 points on seven goals and three assists for the Gators.

Barofski added three ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls for the Cyclones while junior Kaylee Bennett had three ground balls and three shots.

The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, April 20 when they host Bryn Athyn at 12 p.m.
