Volleyball Falls to Keystone

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Despite a season-high eight team blocks the Centenary University volleyball team fell to Keystone College on Wednesday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

The Giants won the sets 25-14, 25-12 and 25-20 for the 3-0 victory.

Freshman Emerald Richard and junior Leandra Garcia combined for seven solo blocks to lead the Cyclones' efforts at the net. Richard finished with four solo blocks and a block assist to go along with four kills and two digs. Garcia had three solo blocks, three kills and six digs.

Senior Melissa Krueger had a team-high 13 digs and three assists while sophomore Reagan Curtis and senior Brielle Gensinger each had seven digs.

Nathalie Ortiz led Keystone with 13 kills while Amanda Hardy contributed 23 assists, nine kills and five digs.

The Cyclones are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 26 when they travel to Clarks Summit for a 12 p.m. match.
