Hacks Records 400th Career Save for Cyclones Against Immaculata

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Junior Renee Hack made 12 saves, including the 400th of her career, to lead the Centenary University women's lacrosse team against Immaculata University on Saturday in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

The Cyclones honored their five seniors, Kristin Karszen, Erika Bath, Miranda Burns, Vivian Richardson and Taylor Heverly before the start of a game that the Mighty Macs won 15-2.

Layne Kennedy, Hannah Verrecchia and Anna DiDonato all scored two first half goals as Immaculata opened up a 10-0 lead at the break.

Immaculata scored the first two goals of the second half and led 12-0 with 20:25 to go in the game.

Centenary got on the board with a goal from Karszen just over halfway through the half.

The Mighty Macs scored two more goals before Bath celebrated "Senior Day" with a goal.

Immaculata closed out the 15-2 win with a goal from Nicole Dominick.

Lex Goerlach made two saves to earn the win in goal for the Mighty Macs.

Hack has now made double digit saves six times this season. She is one of 30 active goalies in Division III to have reached the 400 save plateau and one of just six juniors to be a part of that group.

Verrecchia led Immaculata with two goals, one assist and four draw controls while Dominick had two goals, five assists and four caused turnovers.

Karszen finished with a goal, four ground balls, a draw control and a caused turnover while Bath had a goal and a draw control. Richardson contributed three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

The Cyclones are back in action as they visit Cedar Crest on Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m.
