HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.-Â The Centenary men's soccer team played a hard fought contest but were edged out by the Cairn Highlanders by a score of 2-1.Â
It was senior day for the Cyclone players at Reeves Field as the eight seniors were recognized for their four years of dedication to the team.

Ornette Sanchez and
William Squares were honored pregame.
Following the ceremony, the game started with a bang as Weiss scored a goal within the first minute from the right side of the net to give the Cyclones an early 1-0 lead.
The seniors' energy propelled Centenary early on as they dictated play. The Centenary defense limited Cairn's scoring opportunities in the first period with Warne making five saves.Â
The second period saw Cairn even the score early on with each team trading scoring chances and momentum shifting from one team to the other.
As the game entered the final 10 minutes of the contest still knotted at one the tension was palpable as every possession represented a chance for each squad.

Warne made two big saves in the last 6 minutes along with a key save made by one of the defenders protecting the net, but with 40 seconds left in the match Cairn midfielder
Brendan Keller scored on a header to give the Highlanders the 2-1 lead which is how the game would end.
Kameron Clark made six saves in the Cairn win while Warne came up big all day finishing with 11 saves in the contest.
The final game of the regular season is Tuesday afternoon against Wilson College at Reeves Field.
