No. 19 Wrestling Overpowers Kings


WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Feb. 7, 2017) - Four different wrestlers recorded a pin fall as the No. 19 Centenary University wrestling team came away with the 38-12 victory over King's College on Tuesday evening. The Cyclones improve to 9-2, while the Monarchs fall to 8-14.

Match Results

Sophomores Christopher Muce (Monroe Township, N.J. / Monroe Township) , Alec Donovan (Brick, N.J. / Brick Memorial), Konstantinos Protogeropoulos (Newton, N.J. / Newton), and Etiini Udott (Piscataway, N.J. / Piscataway) all posted a fall for the Cyclones in the victory. Muce defeated Tony Immediato at 149, Donovan pinned David White at 157, Protogeropoulos pinned Nick Price at 184 and Udott pinned Eddie Merrill at 197.

Junior Anthony Colabella (Flanders, N.J. / Mount Olive) and freshman Dylan Luciano (Long Valley, N.J. / West Morris Central) both scored major decisions at 285 and 133, respectively.

Sophomore Max Nauta (Hackettstown, N.J. / Warren Hills Regional) recorded another forfeit victory at 141.  

Head Coach John Garriques and the Cyclones will return to the mat on Thursday, Feb. 9, hosting the Aggies of Delaware Valley University at 7:00 p.m.
