ROSEMONT, Pa. (Feb. 11, 2017)- Senior
Mallory George (Berkeley Heights, N.J. / Governor Livingston) finished with 28 points, a career-high 19 rebounds and six assists as the Centenary University women's basketball team bounced back with a 92-75 victory over Rosemont College on Saturday afternoon.
Junior
Rachel Edwards (Phillipsburg, N.J. / Phillipsburg) finished with 20 points and five steals for the Cyclones who improve to 18-5 overall and 11-3 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Jasmyn Parker finished with 22 points and five steals for the Ravens who fall to 6-17 overall and 4-10 in the CSAC.
The Cyclones actually trailed 11-9 midway through the first quarter, but Centenary closed the opening quarter on a 17-8 run to propel them to a 26-19 lead. Centenary would stretch their lead to 45-36 by halftime behind double digit points from Edwards (13), George (11) and senior
Melissa Rabe (Byram, N.J. / Lenape Valley) (10).
In the second half, George continued her stellar afternoon with 17 points and seven rebounds as Centenary ballooned there lead to as large as 20 at 80-60 with 7:56 remaining in the fourth. Rosemont had a tough time recovering from the first half deficit, despite collecting 10 points apiece from Parker, Shirle Brown and Kiley Stevens.
Rabe finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals, while junior
Amber Reisenwitz (Cresco, Pa. / Pocono Mountain East) finished with 10 points, four assists and three rebounds. Leilani Naone-Carter finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Ayanna Thompson dished out 12 assists for Rosemont in the loss.

Rose Haller and the Cyclones will return to action in Langhorne, Pa. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 against the Highlanders of Cairn University at 6:00 p.m.
