Amanda Benoit (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan) and freshman
Cassidy Haller (Stroudsburg, Pa / Pocono Mountain East) both totaled seven points as the Centenary University women's soccer team thumped Cairn University, 10-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Haller totaled three goals and one assist, while Benoit tallied three assists and two goals for the Cyclones who improve to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Kesley Lewis totaled two shots for the Highlanders who fall to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the CSAC.
Centenary scored seven unanswered goals in the first half, as Haller completed her hat-trick, which included two assists from fellow classmate
Chloe Christopher (Flemington, N.J. / Hunterdon Central). The Cyclones shutout the Highlanders on shots in the first half, 18-0. Benoit assisted on two goals herself in the first half, one to Christopher in the 9
th minute and the final goal of the half to sophomore
Kara LaPolice (Hopewell, N.J. / Hunterdon Central) in the 41

In the second half, Benoit and Christopher weren't done with getting others involved. As both assisted on first career goals for junior
Katerina Albanese (Hillsborough, N.J. / Hillsborough) and sophomore
Alexa Winouski (New Egypt, N.J. / New Egypt).
Centenary edged Cairn on shots (34-6), shots on goal (25-5) and corner kicks (8-0). Freshman
Justine Stefura (Port Reading, N.J. / WoodBridge) and junior
Taylor Pryslak (Belvidere, N.J. / Belvidere) combined for five saves in 90 minutes of work.
