Zoey Woody (North Brunswick, N.J. / North Brunswick) finished with 24 assists and four aces as the Centenary University women's volleyball team snapped a seven game losing streak with a 3-0 victory over SUNY Old Westbury on Wednesday evening.
Senior
Jamie Bierbaum (Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown) totaled 10 kills, four digs and three aces for the Cyclones who improve to 1-7 overall. Ruth Vargas finished with eight digs and seven kills for the Panthers who remain winless at 0-6.
The Cyclones posted an identical .200 hitting percentage in the opening two sets, before recording a .179 hitting percentage in the third. Centenary dominated from start to finish, as the Panthers only held the lead for one-point to open the third set.
Junior
Amanda Fullem (Linden, N.J. / Mother Seton) posted a career-high nine kills, eight digs and four aces, while sophomore
Ashley Bierbaum (Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown) finished with five digs and three kills. Sofia Goris recorded 10 assists for Old Westbury in the loss. Â Â
