IMMACULATA, Pa. (Apr. 30, 2016)- Four different Cyclones each scored at least two goals apiece as the fifth seeded Centenary College women's lacrosse fell to the fourth seeded Immaculata University, 19-9, in the Quarterfinals of the Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament.
Nicole Dominick totaled eight points on four goals and four assists for the Mighty Macs who improve to 8-10 overall and will advance to the CSAC semifinals on May. 4 against the top seeded Cavaliers of Cabrini College. Junior
Abby Voelkner (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) netted a hat-trick for the Cyclones who finish the season at 5-11 overall.
Senior
Erica Tripp (Vernon, N.J. / Vernon) and Voelkner each netted two goals apiece as the Mighty Macs outshot the Cyclones 30-10 in the first half and held a 12-4 lead at halftime.
Centenary was able to get a few goals back in the second half as senior
Devin Sutko (Cinnaminson, N.J. / Cinnaminson) and freshman
Diana Guillen (Clifton, N.J. / Clifton) both scored two goals apiece, but Immaculata maintained a 10 goal lead for the remainder of the contest.
Junior
Priscilla Ortiz (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) finished with five groundballs, three caused turnovers and two draw controls, while Voelkner added eight draw controls. Freshman
Renee Hack (Old Bridge, N.J. / Bishop George Ahr) made 14 saves in 60 minutes of work between the pipes.
