HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Feb. 9, 2016)- The Centenary College wrestling team defeated Mount Saint Vincent College and Kings College to sweep this evening's tri-match at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center.

In Centenary's first match of the night, the Cyclones defeated an unmanned Mount Saint Vincent team. The Dolphins were forced to forfeit matches at 125, 149, 157, 174 and 197. Centenary earned their points with pinfall victories for junior Jeff Rottingen (Ramsey, N.J. / Ramsey), junior Anthony Kubish (Hamilton, N.J. / Hamilton East) and senior Joey Ragsdale (Bethlehem Twp., N.J. / North Hunterdon).

Kings Results

In the final match of the evening, Centenary gutted out a 31-15 victory over a very strong Kings College squad. After dropping the first two matches at 125 and 133, the Cyclones won the final seven matches. Junior Josh Sibblies (Newton, N.J. / Newton), along with freshmen Christopher Muce (Monroe Township, N.J. / Monroe Township), Max Nauta (Hackettstown, N.J. / Warren Hills Regional) and Etiini Udott (Piscataway, N.J. / Piscataway) made their way into the win column. Sibbles and Nauta took decisions, while Muce and Udott recorded pinfalls.

Prior to the start of the tri-match, Head Coach John Garriques and his staff honored Rottingen, Allan Jordan (Port Reading, N.J. / Woodbridge), D.J. Wagner (Wharton, N.J. / Morris Hills) and Ragsdale for their work hard and dedication over the last few years.  

Coach Garriques and the Cyclones will return to action in Doylestown, Pa. on Feb. 11^th against Delware Valley University at 7:00 p.m.
