NEW YORK, N.Y. (Dec. 2, 2016)- Six wrestlers recorded a victory as the Centenary University wrestling team came away with a dominating 48-6 victory over Hunter College in New York City on Friday afternoon. The Cyclones improve to 1-0, while the Hawks fall to 1-4.

Freshman
Bobby Demeter (Manville, N.J. / Manville), sophomore
Max Nauta (Hackettstown, N.J. / Warren Hills Regional), and sophomore
Etiini Udott (Piscataway, N.J. / Piscataway) all came away with pinfall victories. Nauta had the fastest pin of the evening at 141, defeating Elliot Natanov in two minutes. Udott defeated Anthony Fitzsimmons at 197 in a time of 2:19, while Demeter pinned Hamad Amir with a time of 5:30 at 125.
Sophomores
Christopher Muce (Monroe Township, N.J. / Monroe Township),
Alec Donovan (Brick, N.J. / Brick Memorial) and
Konstantinos Protogeropoulos (Newton, N.J. / Newton) all posted victories at 149, 157 and 184. Muce had the toughest match of the night, defeating John Sherlock by major decision, 18-10. Donovan recorded an 8-1 decision over William Heine, while Protogeropoulos posted a technical fall over Maksimilian Garkusha, 16-1.
Sophomore
Joe Zargo (Monroe Township, N.J. / Monroe Township), freshman
Jeremy Nurnberger (Manville, N.J. / Manville) and freshmanÂ
Anthony Colabella (Flanders, N.J. / Mount Olive) tallied forfeit victories at 133, 165 and 285.
