JERSEY CITY, N.J. (Oct. 3, 2016) - The Centenary University volleyball team was sweep in both matches of a Tri-Match at NJCU on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore
Zoey Woody (North Brunswick, N.J. / North Brunswick) finished with 18 assists, while fellow classmates
Ashley Bierbaum (Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown) and
Krysta Astengo (Clifton, N.J. / Clifton) each added 12 digs, as the Cyclones fall to 1-15 overall.
NJCU 3, Centenary 0
The Gothic Knights posted a .286 attacking percentage, including a .429 percentage in the third set. Astengo and Woody both finished with three kills and five digs as the Cyclones barely recorded over six kills in any set. Elyssa Magee totaled 10 kills and four blocks, while Rachel McIntyre finished with 29 assists. Â
CCNY 3, Centenary 0
The Beavers averaged a .200 attacking percentage, including a .273 percentage in the second set .Bierbaum totaled five kills, while Woody added 12 assists, as the Cyclones posted a negative attacking percentage for the match. Senior
