HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Oct. 21, 2016) – Junior
Amanda Fullem (Linden, N.J. / Mother Seton) totaled six digs and two assists as the Centenary University volleyball team dropped a Colonial States Athletic Conference match to Neumann University, 3-0 on Thursday evening.
Rachel Cray finished with 15 assists and nine aces for the Knights who improve to 16-13 overall and 8-1 in the CSAC. Sophomore
Valentina Suizzo (North Haledon, N.J. / Eastern Christian) and senior
Na'imah Spells (Irvington, N.J. / Irvington) both finished with five digs each for the Cyclones who fall to 1-21 and 0-9 in the CSAC.
In the opening set, Suizzo recorded two service aces as the Cyclones jumped out to a 5-1 lead forcing the Knights to call an early timeout. Neumann responded out of the timeout with six straight points from Melanie Malseed to regain the lead at 14-8. Neumann dominated the final two sets, including posting a .316 attacking percentage in set two.
Rachael Hoffman recorded a match-high six kills, while Shayne Sullivan finished with five blocks. Sophomores
Giani Montalvo (Elizabeth, N.J. / Elizabeth) and
Ashley Bierbaum (Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown) each recorded a kill for the Cyclones.

Kelsey Walter and the Cyclones will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 in Doylestown, Pa. against the Aggies of Delaware Valley University at 11:00 a.m.
