Hackettstown, NJ: It was a thriller at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center as
Djovan Beausejour nailed the game-winning shot from inside the paint to give Centenary the 64-63 victory over Rosemont College (11-11, 9-6 CSAC). With the win, Centenary (11-10, 8-6 CSAC) now sit in a three-way tie in the CSAC standings as they fight for a playoff spot.
The Cyclones quickly created an eight point gap opening the game with a 12-4 run. Rosemont would battle back several times throughout the half to tie the game on three different occasions, but Centenary never relinquished their lead in the first half as they headed into the break with a 36-28 advantage.
Centenary came out strong in the second half and held as much as a 14-point (56-42) lead with 9:25 remaining. Slowly but surely, Rosemont clawed their way back into the game going on an 8-0 run to get within five (57-52) with just under six minutes to go.
Trailing 59-52 with 4:42 left to go, the Ravens went on yet another run (8-1) to knot the game for the fifth time at 60-60 after Dom Scafidi drained a three pointer with 2:04 left in regulation. With momentum favoring Rosemont, Marcus Thomas gave the Ravens their first and only lead of night after knocking down a second three pointer for the 63-60 advantage with 1:27 left on the clock.

Andy Charles on the line as he made both his free-throw attempts to cut the lead to one (62-63). The Cyclones stepped up their defensive pressure getting a crucial stop and a chance for one final play with 10 seconds remaining in the game.
Centenary's Zach Duymich received the inbound pass quickly dishing it to
Djovan Beausejour. Beausejour then powered through two Rosemont defenders to score the go-ahead bucket (64-63) leaving only 2.9 seconds on the clock. The Ravens attempted one last shot but were unable to connect.
Myles McLeod led the team in scoring with 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 from behind the arc. Aside from nailing the game-winning shot, Beausejour added 13 points in the game, while grabbing four rebounds.
Andy Charles wrapped up the scoring by chipping in 14 points for the Cyclones and eight boards.
Centenary was solid from the field today as they went 47.2% and 40% from the arch. Both marks were better than Rosemont as they only garnered 40.7% and 33.3% respectively.
The Cyclones will look to extend their winning streak to three-games when they travel to Gwynedd Mercy University tomorrow night @ 7:00 PM.
