Vanessa McKellar (Annadale, N.J. / North Hunterdon) and freshman
Giani Montalvo (Elizabeth, N.J. / Elizabeth) both recorded four kills apiece as the Centenary College volleyball team dropped a Colonial States Athletic Conference match to Marywood University, 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-12).
Maddie Lavery and Meghan Weeks combined for 16 kills for the Pacers, who improve to 6-15 overall and 5-3 in the CSAC. Junior
Na'imah Spells (Irvington, N.J. / Irvington) recorded 19 digs for the Cyclones who fall to 3-15 overall and 2-7 in the CSAC. Â
In set one, the Cyclones would only manage three kills but stayed close based on the match-high five errors committed by the Pacers. In set two, Centenary traded points with Marywood to open the set, before taking a 13-8 lead, as freshman
Zoey Woody (North Brunswick, N.J. / North Brunswick) served on four straight points and freshman
Valentina Suizzo (North Haledon, N.J. / Eastern Christian) collected a kill. The Pacers would rally and close the set on a 9-1 run.
The third set played out like the second, as the Cyclones took a 7-6 lead on back-to-back kills by McKellar and junior
Jamie Bierbaum (
Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown). Once again, the Pacers rallied by using an 11-2 run to take the set and the match.
Woody finished with 10 assists and three kills, while Bierbaum finished with five digs and three kills. Freshman
Ashley Bierbaum (Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown) collected five digs, while fellow classmate
Caroline Bikles (Glendale, N.Y. / Archbishop Molloy) collected three. Danielle Delulio recorded a match-high 25 assists.

th, as they will travel to New York, N.Y. to face Hunter College and Grinnell College in a tri-match beginning at 9 a.m.
