Jaclyn LaGuardia (Wyckoff, N.J. / Ramapo) and
Cara Holmes (Pittstown, N.J. / North Hunterdon) both scored for the Cyclones in the 4-0 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland University, this afternoon on senior day.
The Cyclones improve to 5-7-2 overall and 4-2-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, while the Gators fall to 8-4-1 overall and 2-4-1 CSAC.
Centenary hit the ground running as they dominated the first stanza by outshooting Notre Dame 12-1. The Cyclones got on the scoreboard first, in the 31
st minute, as sophomore
Emily Pizzuto (Flemington, N.J. / Hunterdon Central) made a side pass to LaGuardia, who was streaking up the right side of the field. LaGuardia took two dribbles and ripped a shot home for her first goal of the 2015 season. LaGuardia's goal remained the difference as the game entered halftime.
In the second half, Centenary kept its foot on the gas, as both freshman
Amanda Benoit (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan) and sophomore
Jessica Benoit (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan) netted goals for the Cyclones to take a 3-0 lead at the 68
th minute mark. The Cyclones closed out the scoring with a goal in the 79
th minute. Freshman
Sam Bombardiere (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River East) took a corner and lunched the ball towards the left side of the six yard box. Holmes was standing just outside the six yard box and headed a one bounce ball into the goal for the score.
J. Benoit took a game-high ten shots, while both A. Benoit and freshman
Kristin Kraszen (Manorville, N.Y. / Eastport South Manor) both recorded four. Lindsay Rehak took a team high two shots for the Gators.

th, as they will the travel to La Plume, Pa. to face the Giants of Keystone College at 4:00 p.m.
