Juliana Belar

As the Assistant Director of Academic & Career Services for Student-Athletes and Senior Woman Administrator, Belar is responsible for providing academic and career support services for student-athletes at Centenary University. She coordinates athlete study halls, supports student success and retention, offers career guidance, and is an adjunct professor.

Prior to Centenary, Belar spent 3 years at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Ohio. In her time there, she served as an Assistant Women’s Gymnastics Coach for the Division I program. Belar earned her Master’s in College Student Personnel from BGSU, while also serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student-Athlete Services. Additionally, she helped run the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), improved the department's social media following, and organized student-athlete development programming in the forms of leadership, community, and life skills. Before joining the Falcons, Belar was a Division I gymnast at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology: Sport Studies, with a minor in Business Administration. After medically retiring in 2019, Belar transitioned to the role of a Student Assistant Coach helping lead the Wildcats to an EAGL conference championship win and qualifying on to the first round of NCAA Tournament in Athens, Georgia. Belar was named a WCGA Scholastic All-American three times, while also being named to the EAGL All-Scholastic Team twice. Outside of working in Higher Education and Athletic Administration, Belar has a plethora of experience coaching and choreographing for multiple gymnastics clubs up and down the East Coast. She is passionate about working with student-athletes throughout their academic journey and having an impact on their collegiate career.
