Lee Clowers

Lee Clowers, the long-time volleyball coach at Mount Olive High School and a former Centenary University volleyball coach, was named the new head coach of the Centenary University volleyball team in February of 2020.

Clowers, who is in his second stint with the Cyclones, becomes the eighth coach in program history.

Clowers returns to Centenary from Mount Olive High School where he was the head coach since 2001. There, he was responsible for all aspects of the program. He led Mount Olive to the Northwest New Jersey Athletic Conference American Division Championship six times. Clowers guided Mount Olive to the Morris County Championship twice and a New Jersey Group III Section B Championship in 2016.

Before coming to Mount Olive, Clowers worked as the head coach at both Chatham High School and Golda Och School. He was responsible for all aspects of the program from practice to games at both places.

Clowers served as the head coach at Centenary from 1993-96.

In addition to his coaching success, he has authored three books on coaching volleyball.

Clowers earned his bachelor’s degree from Cabrini in English and political science.
