James Has been one of the assistant athletic trainers at Centenary since the start of the 2021 school year. James has been a part of many new initiatives that have been implemented in the athletic training department since he started working at Centenary. He comes to Centenary with 15 years of experience in the field and he has had the opportunity to work with athletes at every level of play from the youth athlete all the way up to the most elite in their sport.

James is a licensed by the Pennsylvania board of medicine as well as the NJ Board of Medical Examiners to practice Athletic Training in both NJ and PA
James is Board certified by the athletic training board of certification
James is a certified American Heart Association CPR instructor
Winner of the 2022 St Luke’s Sports Medicine Mentorship award
James is a leading member in the St Luke’s Sports medicine Policies and procedures as well as the Simulation committees.
Before Centenary
Prior to coming to Centenary James spent his career working with Middle and High School athletes at two different schools. James worked at Saucon Valley HS and MS from 2010-2015 and then moved to work at Notre Dame Jr/Sr HS as the Head Athletic Trainer from 2015-2021. James also got the opportunity in graduate school at East Stroudsburg University to travel with some of his classmates down to Mayaguez PR to work internationally at the XXI Central American and Caribbean Games in 2010. Along with his work internationally, in 2011 James worked with the Trenton Steel a professional arena football team. James has also covered several NCAA Division I rowing and tennis championships over the last few years. James Is a 2009 graduate of East Stroudsburg University and received his Masters degree in 2010 also from East Stroudsburg University.
Personal Life
James and his fiancé Hannah recently bought a house in East Stroudsburg, Pa and they like to spend their free time fixing it up and working on projects together. They also like to kayak, play tennis, and have recently picked up pickleball. If you can’t find them doing any of that they are probably visiting family and friends and spending time with nieces and nephews.
